Ferrari executive was targeted by a deepfake scammer impersonating CEO Benedetto Vigna via unexpected WhatsApp messages. The scammer, using a convincing voice with Vigna's accent, attempted to discuss a confidential acquisition and urged signing an NDA, hinting at regulatory notifications. An internal investigation was prompted when the executive became suspicious and ended the call after the deepfake failed to answer a personalized security question.
